Arcade Fun | Interior Mural
Arcade Fun was created to visually connect a small arcade area within my client's orthodontic office, where young patients could play vintage arcade games while waiting for their appointments. My goal was to give this small, recessed space its own identity while making it feel intentional and distinct from the surrounding clinical environment.
To achieve the mural's clean lines and curved forms, I used a self-leveling laser to establish the straight lines and a chalk line to map out the curves. The geometric layout required two separate rounds of taping, each taking over seven hours to ensure the lines aligned precisely and the different painted sections remained cleanly defined. I used standard interior latex paint, which allowed for easy adjustments throughout the painting process.
For the color palette, I incorporated three shades of blue alongside orange, drawing inspiration from the existing colors in the office's logo and interior design. I introduced magenta as an additional accent to create contrast between the two color families while helping tie the overall composition together.
