This was the second project I had the opportunity to create for the "Fall into Fiction" event. I was asked to design a book-themed photo booth backdrop where guests could stop and take photos as they made their way through the various vendor stalls.

To construct the backdrop, I mounted a sheet of plywood onto triangular supports built from 2×4 lumber, using bags of sand to weigh down the structure and keep it stable. I then covered the plywood with pages from the previously sourced books, creating a layered literary backdrop. I selected books with particularly interesting and visually appealing pages to fold and arrange into sculptural forms, adding dimension, texture, and visual interest to the surface.

To finish the piece, I incorporated fall foliage as a decorative element, carrying the seasonal theme throughout the installation while tying it back to the larger event.
